Leadership
The ship was sailing in the calm sea with great agility. A
few miles away the weather began to get worse, the clouds began to thunder,
after a while, it started to rain which gradually increased and then took a
dangerous shape.
The gusts of wind began to blow and it seemed from the
weather that a dangerous storm was coming, and then this is what
happened. The waves of the sea began to rise like a dragon and the ship
was also hit by it. There was terror on the faces of the passengers
inside. The dark night, the stormy weather, and the ship full of hundreds
of passengers, all eyes were on the captain.
Only the captain's insight, experience, and strategy will
decide whether the ship will survive this doomsday storm or not. If he
had been an experienced, nerve-racking, sensible person and the best
decision-maker in this difficult time, the ship would have come out of this
crisis, but if his steps had faltered and he, like the others, would have been
terrified. If hit, then after the storm is over, the wreckage of the ship
will be seen floating on the surface of the sea.
That is the role of a leader. The destiny of the
nations is in his hands. One of its decisions sets the course for
millions of lives. The open-air we are breathing in today is actually
made possible by the high determination and high vision of our leader
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a great example
as a leader. He was endowed with all the qualities that must be found in
any leader, otherwise, he would not be a leader.
"Leadership" is a complete
theory. In ancient times, kings and the descendants of kings were trained
by their mentors to become "kings" from infancy. He trained
them in swordsmanship and javelin throwing. He would teach them various
sciences and arts, languages , and the prevailing skills of the time and at the
same time instill in them high values and morals, then he would be able to be
appointed "Crown Prince" and then he would become a king. Go, John
C. Musk well has done valuable work on the subject of Leadership in modern
times. One of his most important books in this regard is "LEADER SHIFT", in which he states the following points:
(1) Transferring
oneself
After progressing in life, man should do "growth"
inside himself and "development" outside his caste. When
developing things from the outside, you have to keep your capacity large,
because the leader is the one who builds an entire "empire".
Now, if the "empire" is built, but it is hollow inside, then this
development is of no use.
(2) Attitude
Everyone wants to be a leader, but the first thing they
ignore after becoming a leader is their attitude. The attitude of the leader
towards his subordinates and team members is considered to be the guarantee of
the development of his company or organization. We can also interpret
this as communication skills, ie if a leader lacks communication skills, his Leadership
will not be impressive.
(3) The importance
of the individual in the development of the organization
Every leader wants his organization to reach the heights of
development and become number one, but it is important for him to share his
ideas and goals with his team members. It is important to trust each
member of your team and give them individual importance.
Whenever a leader does not share his dreams, goals and
achievements with his teammates and feels insecure about his own team, then the
team members leave him alone and he never They also do not work
wholeheartedly for the development of the organization but are only concerned
with spending time and collecting salaries. Making your team a family
team and keeping them informed about the achievements of the organization as
well as preparing them according to the goals to be achieved, these factors can
give great results. That is the beauty of a team, and it pays off.
(4) Relationships
with open-minded people
A leader should always be open-minded and at the same time
keep in touch with people who are growth-minded. Such people do not focus
on just one goal but they have insight and their eyes are always far away. They
see possibilities in everything.
They believe that today is better than yesterday. They
always do their best. Conversely, if you associate with people with a
fixed mindset, they will also make you suffer from frozen thinking. Such people
will hinder your progress and you will not be able to achieve anything big in
life. Will go.
(5) Meeting all
kinds of people
The best leader is the one who always keeps his door open
for all kinds of people. He meets not only people of one class of thought
but also people of every religion, nationality, and country. He meets and
mingles with politicians, athletes, artists, religious leaders, laborers, and
big business figures. Its biggest advantage is that it provides
information on all walks of life.
The second advantage is that when he has to face a problem
in life, he can easily find a solution to his problems. When a leader is
limited to his own caste, his ability never develops. Meeting and
traveling with people of different races and religions strengthens one's Leadership
ability and makes it easier for one to deal with all kinds of people.
(6) Becoming a ladder
Anyone succeeds only after climbing the ladder of
progress. It is easy to climb a ladder, but it is also very important to
be a ladder for others. Because a person cannot be a good leader if he
does not help others in their development and does not hold the hand of others.
(7) Leadership, an authority
Every leader has authority, power, and authority.
This power begins with his position, but as soon as he makes it his moral
power, he becomes a great leader. The ethics of a leader must be so high
that team members can trust him and convince him that he really deserves Leadership.
(8) Diversity in the
team
A successful leader is one who takes on different types of
members in his team. It's great to have a team of young or just enthusiastic
people, but it's great to have people of different temperaments, ages, and
backgrounds in your team because it allows the leader to meet all kinds of
people and get acquainted with their backgrounds. And he has the ability
to lead all kinds of people.
(9) Leader, a mentor
A successful leader is one who not only rules but is also an
excellent mentor. Who considers the problems of his team members as his
own problems? He guides them and cooperates with them in every way,
then he becomes a valuable and respected leader. John C. Maxwell also
states in his book that the real job of a great leader is not to please other
people but to create other capable leaders like himself. We need Leadership
in every area of life because This characteristic creates a sense of
responsibility in a person and when a sense of responsibility is awakened in a
person, then he works in the best way and also knows the skill of taking the
best work from others.
